Worth the Wait Shares Patient Perspective

Worth the Wait Co-founders, Mike and Megan, recently told their personal story of cancer and infertility and talked about the challenges and disparities of young adult cancer survivors pursuing parenthood to a group of executives and scientists in Denver in February.

But the real highlight was Nina’s speech. She’s a Worth the Wait grant recipient and she shared her story on a stage for the first time. Her experience includes a stage IV Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma diagnosis in March 2020, being told future fertility wouldn’t be an issue, and learning a few years later that her life-saving treatment almost destroyed her fertility.

Worth the Wait was grateful for the opportunity to share patient perspectives and will continue to advocate for oncofertility.
