Worth the Wait Co-Founders, Mike and Megan Scherer advocated at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Day at the Ohio Statehouse.
They teamed up with other patient advocates and survivors including, Diane Crawford, Founder of non-profit, The Crawford Crew, Whitney Inkrott and Lory Winland.
They asked for House and Senate support for HB 24 (equitable access for biomarker testing for cancer patients) and HB 177 (health plan copay accumulators related to patient drug assistance programs).
Worth the Wait hopes these advocacy efforts will help to make cancer care more affordable in Ohio and increase insurance coverage for precision oncology care.
