On April 29, Megan Scherer participated in the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network Day.
She and other local advocates had the chance to meet with Rep. Brian Lorenz and Oakley, Senator Andrew Brenner’s staffer, in Columbus, Ohio.
They shared why access to cancer screenings (mammograms, pap tests, prostate-specific antigen tests), tobacco cessation and prevention programs and biomarker testing for cancer patients is needed to save lives and save insurers money down the line.
